O.K. about last summer I was looking through a lot of the forum and just reading and reading and printing a lot of how to do's. I found one that someone did a step by step for replaceing the window felt, well i can not fine where I put it after I printed it. I did a search in several places, even tips and tricks, and I can't find it. Anybody maybe have this saved anywhere? I got the kits, but would really like it to be quick and easy.
I don't know which one you were reading, but I did one last year that a few people found helpful. I am pretty sure I did it last spring, if you want to sift through my posts. Or perhaps someone else has a link to another you can use. It is very easy and very intuitive once you start.
If I'm not mistaken, I just saw one on Dennis Carpenters downloadable catalog, its like 3 or 4 pages before the end. Believe it was for a bumpside, not a dent though.
I got them through Dennis Carpenter, 200.00 bucks (pricey) with shipping, look ok, time will tell. I think you can find them cheaper if you look. My intentions were to replace the driver side as it is partly missing, but I ordered the wrong side and with return shipping I was not shipping them back. I try to order only what I need anymore as the last time I ordered from LMC and was very disappointed.
NPD has the felts and channel runs, all around both front, $80. Just did mine, just have to go slow when doing the channels with the glass in. You also have to remove the door panels to pull them all the way down.
Sorry, I realized I wasn't very clear in my last post, I was not referring to the felts, the instruction are in the dowloadable DC Catalog 3 or 4 pages from the end. Hope this helps.
its pretty straight forward. well i took the glass out so i had to grind off the rivets holding the window regulator but other than that it was easy. im not sure that u have to take the glass out of the track though.
It is probably easier with it out but not impossible with it in. My old channel run felts were so brittle they came out a 1/4" at a time. With the door panel off start at the top corner by the wing window and press it in until your at the window, in the down position, then feed it passed the window and press it into the channel below top of door. Carefully work it into the channel by moving the window up and down and back and forth, a small screwdriver helps if you don't push it through the felt. The anti-rattle felts aren't perfect so start at the latch side and be careful when pressing in the clips they are brittle and don't usually come out after attached. good luck and patience
I bought every piece of weatherstrip, seal etc, including those anti rattle pieces, vent window seals, windshield and rear window seals, door seals. I mean everything. I got it all from Bronco Graveyard for $200! Smokin deal, I think it is still on sale too, better hurry!

How was the quality of Bronco Graveyard weatherstripping package?
Got one side done, 2 hrs start to finish. I just slid the old out and new in and played with them until they were in the channel, and was easy. I dreaded this job, now wish I had done it last year when they started falling apart.
THANKS for all the help.

I have not installed it yet but I like what I see so far. The guy doing my body work said it is nice stuff. It's made by a company called presicion, he said they are decent.
