5.4 idler pulley replacement

I am going to change tensioner pulley on 5.4. Any suggestions or tips before I pull it. Is it locktighted in, etc. It is a 2004 f250 with air. Is it as easy as 3 bolts and it is off

Are you changing just the pulley or the whole tensioner? If you're just changing the pulley, remove the belt, unscrew the bolt in the middle of the pulley, and reverse procedure for the install.

Thought bolt for pulley faces block, which would require tensioner removal.

You're right. I forgot your was backwards. You'll need to remove those 3 bolts as you described earlier.
