GPR & GPR LED question ?

The last couple of times my GPR LED light has not came on right away, and a couple of times it took a few tries turning the key.

My question is - just because the GPR LED came on, does it mean the GPR is working properly ? I'm also seeing alot more smoke than normal on cold starts.

Where is the best place to but the Stancor 586-908 GPR ?

Depending on where your have the led connected, it could mean that you are simply getting the ground side of the GPR grounded through the PCM or if connected at the GPR power to the GPs, it could mean that power is moving through the GPR but it won't say how much.

THIS is the best price I have found on the Stancor recently.

Thanks for the link Bob, I tried to order from them, But they tell me I need a company name. Do i just make one up, or do I need to order it from work ?

I have not tried to order from them so I did not know that. Unless they are asking for some kind of reseller's permit, I would make one up and start your own business!

That what I did, used my name as the company name.
I got it for $37.09 but don't know how much they charge for shipping. I will post the total amount once they E-mail me back. Thanks again Bob.

I hate web sites that don't tell you shipping charges. I have got some nasty surprises that way. Kinda like eBay..... sell cheap and make it up by ripping for shipping.

Still waiting for the total with shipping and a tracking number.

I'll be sure to let you all know my experience with this company. Good or bad.

I just recieved a E-mail for the total amount and tracking number.

$ 37.09 Stancor 586-902 GPR
$ 8.76 Shipping - UPS ground 1 to 5 days
$ 45.85 Total Amount

I was waiting for a inflated shipping charge,not knowing when I placed the order, but there shipping charge is very fair.

Thanks for the update Mark. That is still less then Mouser's present posted price before shipping. I am going to order today.
Since it ships from Cali I may get charged less for shipping.

Actually Robin, it is being shipped from Phoenix Arizona. So you should be able to get it in a day or two.
