question on '68 F-600

This is my first time posting here-really cool site.I recently purchased a 1968 F-600 bucket truck, and there is a problem with the steering. I am going to either re-build or install a used steering gear and I think something is wrong with the bearings in the column which I might have to replace also.My question is this; the truck currently has manual steering which is a PITA because it is such a heavy unit. Is it possible to convert to power steering since I have to go through so much anyway, just thought someone here might have some insight. Thanks for any help!Paul

Having driven a '58 F600 sans power steering, I feel your pain.

Try:

Steering Rebuilders & Truck Parts, Inc. - Home

Maybe:

Chucks Trucks LLC., Chuck's Trucks, Chucks Trucks

I just did a google search for "truck parts ford f600".

There are dozens of hits with that search.
