Tuner?? Programmer??
Looking to get a little feedback from some guys that have more experience than me. I bought my 02 F250 about 2 months ago and am looking to get a chip or a programmer. There are tone of companys out there BullyDog, Edge, Superchips, DP, on and on....Whos the best in yalls opinion? I do favor the programmers with the screen so you can see whats going on but its not that big of an issue if there is something better out there. The DP F6 looks nice but maybe a little pricey. Any help would be great! I am mechanically inclined and have a few other mods in mind also. Thanks for any feedback!!

u dont need any standard mods before the chip except the gauges. A cold air intake and a 4 inch exhaust would be great. Get the F6 from Jody also, that way if u change anythign major on your truck, he can just email the the updated tune to u, instead of takign the chip out and sending it back. i think u will like your new chip

Yeah, you really do need a couple things first. You need an opened up exhaust (muffler delete is okay), intake (6637 is good), and I say trans mods first (like an aftermarket VB or TransGo kit), and gauges. Do those, then get your tuner. Then look at things like in-tank mods, CCV, HPX, WW, etc, etc, etc.....

I have a bull dog programmer and have not had any problems with it. Only reason I got it was found cheap on craig's list. It firms up the tranny shift points as well as reads codes. I had a superchip programmer on my old 2006 6.0 and that thing was a piece when it came ti tranny tuning. I got rid of the truck and programer....I would like to try a custom tuner when money allows.
