Flathead with straight pipes question

Hey guys I am wanting to put some straight pipes on my 51 f1 with a stock v 8 flathead with 94 carb. would I have to rejet the carb? adjust the screws some more? or anything else...

Not that I am aware off, i dont have a flatty, but I put straight Lake pipes on my 56 with no modification to the motor.

I don't think you will have to make any tuning changes. I run straight stacks on my old F-2 with headers. I like the way it runs and sounds...slim

Sweet! that makes me feel better because I just got my carb adjusted right (took me forever it seemed like) and was worried it was gonna mess it up again. Thanks Guys!

ditto on that. I love the way my truck sounds with straight pipes. It does get rather loud when pulling something, but im not old enough to put mufflers on it yet

If it gets too loud you can always install motorcycle baffles.
