Value of truck

Hi folks. I am curious as to what people think my truck with worth as I am considering upgrading to a newer F150.
Currently, I have a 1994 Flareside, 5.0, 5 speed with working a/c and sliding rear window. Its a 4X2, winter stored and it has only 24,000 km's. I am the first owner and the only modifications are true duel exhaust and a Kenwood cd player.
Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Glenn

Value of truck

[updated:LAST EDITED ON 01-14-03 AT 00:02 AM (EST)]Hi Glenn,
Pricing a truck is always tricky - so many factors can come into play - even regionality.
But a few things you can do is check your local truck trader magazines and classifieds to see what similar trucks are bringing. You might also want to cruise your local dealer lots.
Also, have a look at the classifieds on this site - link should be on the right some place.
I know it is probably not the info you are looking for, but it might be helpful.
I hope you are enjoying the site - there are lots of good guys and gals here who can be of great assistance.

Keep it Rubber Side Down!

Value of truck

I was hoping the very low mileage would help with the value of the truck - as well as the fact that I don't see many mid 90's Flaresides on the roads here in the Brampton/Mississauga/Oakville area. I've checked out autotrader.ca and the prices are all over the place - I know it would be worth more if it were a 4X4. A friend of mine is a truck person and he says the Flareside body makes it worth more then a regular long or short box - I was thinking of asking $10,000 certified and e-tested - does that sound about right or am I asking too much for my truck?
Regards as always, Glenn.

Value of truck

Hi Glen! I think $10,000 might be a bit high but hey only you know what your truck is really worth. Start with $10,000 but also mention you will take best offer. So buyers at least know your willing to deal and make sure you mention 1 owner, low klms and any add on's service records(if you have any).

I myself always find a one owner truck more desirable. And advertise the heck out of it,Auto Trader,Tri Ad,4 sale sign on window, and networking through co-workers and friends. Also try to be patient.

A buddy of mine always gets what he ask's when he sells I think it's due to informative ads and having patients and a major detailing of the interior<(very important)It shows wear and tear and abuse right of the bat.

Good Luck
