Ain't that the truth. I rented one in Alabam and hauled my Dads
stuff to the western slope of Colorado. Was a big box truck we over
loaded to the gunnels. Than towed a Crown vic on an auto transport
as well. And the car was also loaded in every nook and hole. I disconnected
the rev limiter and ran hammer down trying to blow the 454.
The harder I ran it the better and cooler it ran. It was one tough engine to say the least.
Knowing how I abused them I would never buy one for anything other
than parts. This truck ran better when I was done with it by far.

That truck NEEDS to be built
I drove the short hooded version, and couldn't remember seeing one like your avatar (so COOL) someone should build that , should be room for a 238 or an 8v92

What size bed is that on your truck? Thinking if I still have my F800 in the spring time. The hauler bed will come off and a dump bed will be put on. Thinking hard about buying a Pellet mill to make our own heating pellets next spring. And will use the truck to haul the sawdust.
We have been covered up by Saw mills with the Amish moving around us. Thinking there running 9 mills within a 10 mile radius of us. So plenty of dust to turn into heating pellets.
Can't make my mind up if I want to just sell the old gal or keep it and turn it into a dump truck. But will leave the sleeper on it if it does turn into a dump truck. Also thinking a flat bed dump with sideboards and tailgate that can be set off with my loader. That way I can also haul pallet items on it also.
I love driving the old gal. Part of me likes it way more then my 2005 Chevy Kodiak with Cummins and allison trans I now use to pull our camper. The Kodiak and so much nicer then the F800. But man the road ranger 10 speed just turns me on. Reminds me of the old truck driving days.
And the Custom Kodiak C5500 with 350 HP 5.9 24 valve cummins RV motor and 6 speed Allison trans.

I like the F800 far more than the late model
whatever it is quad cab thing. If it was given
to me than it would be for sale to get a ?????
Heck I don't know. But something more vintage
and/or nostalgic. Maybe that white "60 four door
that's popped up on a few threads the last couple of days
