(in case you cant tell, its the squarish scoop on this yellow L900 hood, same part used on the F series)
Can anyone tell where to buy one of these scoops?
Also can you tell me the LxWxH on these or on the ones that where on the earlier models?
Thanks Ron....................

The scoops are the same since they showed up in the late 60's. I do not know the demensions on them. They are the same scoop that the Pontiac Super Dutys used. Strange that both Ford and Pontiac used the same scoop and both used the same name Super Duty.

1976 F-600 Crewcab

I am picking this up on Saturday,
Ford Truck Enthusiasts Forums - Jimbog's Album: 1975 F600
391FTHD, 5 speed tranny, 2 speed rear end. 6 new rims and tires, 14,000 original miles. Hydraulic power brakes, power steering. Was a ex City of Laval Quebec emergency power truck ,carried a diesel generator around. Parked in a heated garage all it's life. No rips or tares in the seats, door panels, dash or headliner and sun visors. Looks like no one ever sat in the back seat. All the glass is as it was new, no clouding in the corners. it has a factory tach and a full set of factory gaudges.I will add some more pictures as I get them. It has a 14' deck on the back which will fit my tube chassie buggy. And will be towing my 28' Desert Fox toyhauler. Going to see if I can do a better job of removing the decal's than the previous owner did. Only 4 little rust spots 1- under the CrewCab emblem, 2- small spots in the rad support where the drilled some holes for cables, and the passenger fender right a the very bottom has a few pin holes. It has large gas tank on the drivers side behind the cab and 1 large diesel tank on the passenger side. I am going to clean out the diesel and run a switch and line between the two tanks and have dual tanks.
Not sure how to post picture so I added my album.

The scoop began life in 1957 on Ford medium duty trucks. They have the same ridges in the top as the 1957 f series hood and match this hood only, but were used on ford medium trucks through about 1986, with various rubber adapters to match up the contours of different ford hoods. The body is steel, and the grille is die cast metal. There is only one kind, they are all the same.
GM liked the scoops so much that they purchased them from ford and assigned a gm part number for certain performance Pontiacs 61-63. This is what I heard. They did not change anything on them.

Where to get? haha well im not tellin my source yet, because I need another one for my other project. I have a lead on about 10, but im not sure I can get them without buying the whole hood. I can hook you up for sure on nice ones, but serious cash has to be layed down, thats why im still lookin.
