My truck is running great!

Just turned 5 years old a few days ago. Just 72.5K on the clock. Still puts a smile on my face every day.

Just needed to tell someone.

Bill, congrats, good job. You would not be where you are at with your truck without good maintenance. And your help on here is well appreciated by many.

It's been around a month since I had the oil and EGR coolers replaced. As part of that service they filled me with MC 15W/40. I was going to just run it, but it bothered me every morning when I started her. So Sat. I drained and filled with 5W/40 Synth (no filter) and I am reminded again how much difference that makes.

I couldn't be happier with my 07 6.0l. I have 44,000 on her, I just deleted the EGR cooler, MBRP down pipe, kitty delete, updated the turbo drain, flushed with VC-9 and installed Innovative Xtreme Street tune, but took it out after a few days. The tune really made me smile, but I'm not smart enough to go easy on the GO pedal and I would eventually need studs sooner rather than later . Got my Icon 4.5 inch lift and MT Classic II wheels in the shop and I am waiting for the dual stablizer and tires to come in and then it all goes on. Spending money lately on the girl, but its only money. Did I say I love this site and the info on it!!

I've got 78k on the clock and she's never left sitting on the side of the road. Love the truck and wouldn't trade it for anything. Now she did have an issue with a couple of stick on the odd side. But that's my fault for not giving her a "routine psychical" to check up on her vitals. The one thing I can't preach enough is know the vitals of your truck....EOT/ECT, fuel pressure, voltage/battery health, do the routine maintenance on time and give 'em the right filters & fluids they need. Basically the simple things that keep you from smoking expensive parts.

I really have enjoyed my 5 years! Even my wife remembered that the truck was having a birthday. I have over 82k miles on it and I took it to my Ford Dealership for one last look-over prior to the warranty going away and they couldn't find anything wrong with it. I am **** about the routine maintenance on this truck and I feel that it has paid off. This truck has only been in the shop 1 time in 5 years and that smokes the 7 times my 7.3L was in the shop before it's 5th birthday. I definitely think this one is a keeper!
