Aftermarket Bumpers?

Anyone know of a reasonable aftermarket bumper for a '09 F-150? My two month old truck got hit in the rear bumper by some d-bag.

Ranch Hand may have something for the rear... I have a replacement front end from them.

A trailer hitch, preferably with a forged receiver tube, is a good thing to leave in your hitch.

Anything else? Ranch Hand only have front bumper options. Nothing for the rear. As for insurance, I can get it repaired but the bumpers are so flimsy that the next time it gets bumped, it is going to dent the fender again. I'd like to ensure max damage to the other car with none to my truck.

Be careful about what you post... what you say today may bite you on the *** tomorrow.

I'm not sure you'll find any options for the rear - the trailer hitch is integrated with the bumper... it would be fairly difficult/expensive to replace.

If you really want to spend money, I suspect Road Armor can help you out. They list replacement rear bumpers for 04-06... they can build whatever you want, if you have enough money!

I'm not talking vigilantly justice. I just hate that some clown hit my truck and then didn't have the nuts to take the blame for it. If the bumper wasn't made of tin cans, it wouldn't have allowed the fender to get damaged in the first place.

just a few, none of these are too expensive VS stock replacement... My rear bumper was actually cheaper than the stock replacement at $250.00 fairly positive none of these are over $400, and with the exception of some of reunel's bumpers, you shouldn't have to worry about replacing it again...ever... :P

Reunel Extreme Heavy Duty Bumpers great bumpers
Top Gun Rear Bumpers another good bumper
Bumpers I have the left bumper on a 1500
had to reweld the brackets cause nobody makes these bumpers for a half-ton to my knowledge. But its not expensive maybe $50 labor at your local welding/aftermarket shop. I love my bumpers cause they pretty much are bullet-proof Although for heavier hauls I would suggest using the stock towing hitch as the plate in the middle can't handle much over 3K as I found out the hard way and bent the crap out of it at the ball (course didn't notice this intil I took the trailer off...)

Thanks! That is exactly what I am looking for. The top gun bumpers offer some hefty claims to tongue weight and towing capacity. You think they are overstating it or have they made improvements?

I doubt it cause that would only leave them open to legal issues if problems arose, however I would suggest making sure all your bumper to frame mounting is sucure if not reinforced with any additional plate backing, I have to do this to my rear and front bumpers in just a day or two and will give you some pics when I get them completed. As well as showing your what I could have done to carry heavier weights with the bumper itself, but I myself tend to want to use the receiver hitch as it will give me something to point the finger at in the case of an accident (since its doubtful the issurance companies wouldn't approve to much of custom items, but then again I frequently haul overweight anyways... :P)
