new old trk

new at this site.two days ago i was given a 78 f-150 4x4 thats runs. it runs rough,but starts rite up.needs a bed,what other ford tks, will swap on parts.also how do i get rid of all un needed emission stuff, fixing up for my 15yr ole son.any info would be great,thanks,this ole nam vet hasnt done anything kike this in yrs,fun

73-79 parts fit. The way I got rid of the emission crap on dad's truck was the easy way. Dad has a 79 150 w/ a 351m and the donor we bought was a 77 150 w/ a 351m. That truck didn't have all that crap so I just switched over to dad's. If I didn't have the donor I would have just had to figure it out. He had a fire on the motor so I had a mess anyway. Hopefully you don't need that emmissions stuff where you live?? Hell of a dad to fix up a good truck like that for your son!!

thanks for the info fordman,no emission crap in oregon.see if i find one under 1978.it does run,and no bull,this ole man in our duplex,up and just gave it to me,title and all.he wanted out of the trk was his hi lift jack.I thought dads are suppose to fix up a trk for son. as i told him, something women like about a pickup man"""""" later
