You're correct here on them coming stock with the m5od. I was just thinking t5 because the guy was asking about putting a t5 or zf5 behind his 351. Did the 5.8 not come with the same tranny as the 5.0?? Either way, whether he goes with the m5od, t5, zf5, etc I don't think he will have any durability problems out of any of them, especially with a stock engine.

I accept with information:The Mazda 5 speed would have OK ratios for this application, but probably wouldn't last long. The ZF would probably take the power.
