Well out local dealership finally got a Raptor:
And then sold it the very next day.... Their price was $47k. I wanted to sit in it but I just happened to be there on a Sunday so no luck. When I went back on Tuesday it was gone. I thought maybe they had it in the back or something but the sales rep said they sold it. Unbelievable the demand for these trucks.
You're assuming that everyone knows about the new upcoming engine.
I'm with you on that one, I think that not all of the people know about the new engines however there is another side to that argument. If the buyer is willing to spend that much for this truck then it leads me to believe he/she has been following the development of it so how could he/she not know about the 6.2l that is going to be put in it.
Then again maybe the 5.4l is enough power for them.
I still dont understand why people wouldnt wait for the new engines.
I ordered one with the 5.4 and would not have got the 6.2 even if was available. I do not need it. It would just be 3k down the drain, and worse gas milage on top.

300 + horse power is plenty for me.
The 5.4 is def enough for me and what i do with my truck but buying a truck like the raptor which is all about performance and having a 5.4l is a waste of a raptor. Unless of course you are only going to be using on the road and not doing any of the type of stuff the raptor was designed for?
Truck aside, you could not pay me enough to drive one with the god awful two tone interior.

It is a bit in your face but i think that it's just that kind of truck all over. It's a look at me type of vehicle and is ment to be in your face and stand out.

Hell, with our roads out here you NEED a Raptor just to go to work sometimes...lol

I do a lot of outdoor stuff. I don't race but with my raptor I will negotiate a lot of tactical trails that have been torn to pieces by tanks and tracks followed by rain, or in some places loose dry sand that will trap a lesser truck. The shocks, skid plates and lockers are what I'm after. The Raptor will do a lot better than the FX4.
The tuned up 5.4l is far enough for offroading, if you don't wanna wait it will be more than ok. Anyone saying otherwise probably hasn't gone offroading that much...
