How to change head lights

okay I feel kinda dumb asking this but i have never done this b4 Im sure you dont gotta be to smart to do this but I just wanted to know how hard is it to change out the head light bulbs in a 06 f-150 I gotta change mine the high beams are burnt out... just woundering I was looking and all i seen was two screws i think i gotta take out then dose your head light pop out so I can pop the bulb out?? I was hopin I could have just reached i behind the head light and pulled the bulb but looks kinda tight to me..

Thanks also I have piaas in my truck right now what do you guys think out them sylvania ultra star head lights??? not too impressed with the piaas burnt out in like 6 months and costed losts and wear not all that bright.

On my '04 Expy, you remove the two screws that you mentioned and pull the entire headlamp assembly out of it's cradle / truck frame. Then your able to access the bulbs. It only takes a couple of minutes.

Make sure you don't touch the actual light bulbs when replacing them as oils from your skin can / will get on the bulb and diminish it's anticipated life span.

It's easy to do. the procedure is in your owners manual. If yo don;y ahve a copy of it, you can download one here...

I put the silver stars in my truck, I swapped out the front bumper cover and forgot to hook one back up and it shined like i had both hooked up. I'm very impressed with how bright they are. Iirc i think u have to twist the bulb socket. I just took the 3 10mm screws out of the light and took the whole light out then swapped them. Take that black rubber looking cover off to get the the 2 screws on the side closest to the grill

I've had both silverstar and phillips crystal vision ultras....and the crystal vision ultras are way better....bulbs.com is where i got them from as they're a bit hard to find locally

I run the Silver Stars too.They're a good bulb. Also wear rubber gloves when you change the bulb,it's help to prevent the oils from your hand to touch the bulb.
