Engine, trans. cost

+/- what is the cost of a 5.4 crate engine, and a crate transmission, for a F-150 4 X 4 Super Crew Off Road ??

AND

Wouldn't it be adviseable to go with a 3v engine update ??

Thanx,

Fat Ford Boy

The 3V is far from plug and play, if you have the time, experience or money to pay someone else to get it to work sure it would be worth it. I'd suggest doing searches for the engine and tranny. Engines were around $3K on the pallet but I would guess they are higher now. You can get a built tranny for around $2K on the pallet. Add a few thousand for labor.

Thumbs up

Yeah, I'd have to have someone else do the work, when the time comes.

I appreciate the response !!!!!!!!
