The OEM flares had plastic '****" that are supposed to go on the outer flat side of the fenders.I removed these, and bought some "self Drilling Screw Hex Washer" screws at lowes(Home improvement store.
They are #8X 9/16 and Black. 100 in a box cost about 6 bucks....anyway,since I had the factory mud flaps(that are for an F-150 WITH wheel well mouldings),I pretty much just held them up tight to the inner fender lip,and buzzed about 8 screws in each one.
Attached the Mud Flaps, and it was done.
Hardest part of all this was painting them.....

I'm not sure if you’re asking me how much drilling or n5926g since you quoted him but Bushwhacker flares require no drilling. They use all factory connection points. All those stainless bolts in my flares are real stainless bolts but they don’t go into the body of the truck they are for esthetics only. I think the issue I have with mine is that it looks as if it needs a bigger tire now. I’m hoping they grow on me as I have about 700 dollars into them with the body shop having to paint them and all.

n5936g that is exactly what I want. I just didn't want to mess around with the drilling part. Now I'm gonna get some anyway. Looks great.

dave 7200- I think those wood look great if you got you some bigger tires. It would look like a beast. I don't plan with ever going with a big set so those would be like over-kill for me. They kinda look like the newer Ranger Sport flares, which are sharp.

Great looking trucks guys.
I might have to go e-baying.

There are two ways to "ebay it" one is searching for f-150 wheel well mouldings, the other is F-150 fender Flares. The first will lileky have two auctions(where I got mine) and the second will have probably 2000..lemme know how it goes!

When you got yours, did you have to paint them black?

Yes...They were some color of red...anyway,thats a breeze...Sand the glaze off,and wipe them down with denatured alcohol.Wet sand them again with some very fine sandpaper, and wipe with the alcohol again.
Go to Wal-Mart,and buy 2 cans of Krylon Fusion paint(about 6 bucks a can)...after theyre dry and free of all contaminants, put a good coat of paint on,and let them dry about 24 hours.Re-apply,and wait another 24 or so,and put them on....

Mine were "new take-offs" according to the ebay seller. If you looked at the auction for F-150 wheel well mouldings, and the bidding started at I think 69 bucks or so..thats them.
