I'm looking for a cold air intake for my 2008 F-250 with a 5.4L engine. I can't find anything through K&N other than the air filter itself. I have seen cold air intakes from Roush and one other company. Has anyone used these and can steer me in the right direction?

mike from 5star tuning sells s&b cold air boxes. he has them for the 5.4. i have one from him on my 6.8, give him a call. www.5startuning.com hes a good guy and a good company to deal with.

 

can you notice any significant horsepower increase with it?

 

If you are not looking to use a K&N type filter, don't look at the S&Bs. They do have a cold air box that is nice, but the filter is an oiled type K&N.

 

its hard to tell. i did the s&b and a sct x2 tuner at the same time. both together was a big improvement. i would still recomend talking to mike, you might have some options.

 

Roush does not offer a CAI kit for any F250/F350 with the 5.4L engine. They only offer a CAI kit for the F250/F350 with the 6.4L and 6.0L diesel engines. Airaid makes a partial CAI kit but that is the only kit on the market (since I lasted researched 6 months ago).

I see that eBay seller "claiming" that he has a Roush CAI kit for the F250/F350 but that kit was designed for the F150.
