To anyone who has signed up or renewed as a Club FTE member since January 1, 2002:

As many of you are aware, our current Club FTE registration process is severely flawed. Some registrations were lost completely, some partially completed, some completely unprocessed and even a few processed twice. Some registrations were handled immediately, but the unfortunate and embarrasing truth is that some are as old as 3 months.

Our current system is being completely revamped and will be replaced in 3 weeks with an automated system. In the meantime, we will be putting in a MONUMENTAL effort for the next 7 business days to complete ALL pending and incomplete registrations. As a token of apology to those who have waited more than 2 weeks, we will be giving those users an additional 6 months of registration for free. We have a full time person who will be putting in 40 hours over the next seven days completing all unfinished registrations. We will be sending out an email to each user as we complete their registeration.

Thank you for your patience and understanding.

Concerning the Club FTE magazine, the next issue features two new editors who will be taking over the job for me. We hope to put out a grand issue for all of you!

 

Would it still be beneficial to try and recruit new FTE members at this time or wait a while ?

Recruitment right now will hurt more than it helps. We're going to make a major push for membership once we get the new system in place. We're also going to be upgrading the membership software so your web site design software is easier to work with and it will integrate web based email with it!

Thanks for the offer of 6 months free but I don't think it is propper to punnish you or the club just because I wasn't able to have access to parts of the site. After all you did not bill my card untill you sent me my notification and membership card. Good things come to those who wait. Club FTE is worth the wait.

Its part of the problem of some users being partially setup. So far, Johh, our new guy, has knocked out steps 1 through 3 (there are 5 steps total) for 240 users this week. After he's done with them, he has another 120 to complete. After all the steps are done, you'll get an email.

 

180 complete. 60 more to go. Everyone will be emailed when its complete and any outstanding t-shirts and cards will be mailed after the emails.

 

Update:

John has completed setting up the users. He is now starting on emails that contain membership information. Once that is done he's laminating membership cards and will be packaging them with t-shirts.

 

Hmmmmm-

If everyone is set up, and I registered April 8th, does it mean I am one of the ones missing? If so, I recently had an order shipped from the store so you have all the info you need to sign me up. No need for the extra 6 months.

If you guys knew first hand what Ken and his staff have been through lately, Including the MASSIVE amount of registrations FTE has received .I'm SURE you would appear more patient.

Ken is pulling at least 18 hours a day keeping FTE running.
The server changeover alone must be exhausting.

When I paid and registered in Jan it still took three weeks to process and turn FTE member's changes into reality.

I have counted at least 10 areas of concern to running this site and I'm sure I missed some, Yet with the UPGRADES going on you will only benefit from what is transpiring.


Once you see the benefits *on screen* after change-over, from being a Non-Member to being a FTE member,you will understand the complexity of "Setting up a member's site."

Ken and his staff are doing great under all the circumstances.
The changes he is making will expediate the system of getting new members"SET UP" with meber benefit's.


Eric,You're doing great buddy ! You also HAVE to be a Member to be a Moderator. We all know you're a member.
