What Are You Doing To Your Truck?

need any help with locating one? You looking for one built for the desert - or a stock one?
I can point you towards a couple websites that have a LOT of them for sale - more built than stock - but stock ones too.

not quite in your price range but very close. Needs a title but that can be handled. It is a good start for the price.

Vegas today huh? I just went there - ate lunch and came back. Not bad for a 14 hour round trip - hahaha
Actually - it was more like:
3:45 Am - wake up
4:00 AM - get on road
4:45 AM - meet dad off 91/15 freeways and let him hop in
9:30 Am - pull into Boulder City. talk with fiberglass builder and unload 74 supercab from truck and leave that and trailer there.
11:30 AM - lunch time with fiberglass guy
12:45 PM - back on road to head home
5:00 PM - back at shop.

Buddies '05 2001 F-150 "supercrew" with the 5.8L. That thing towed it pretty easily and I was surprised
When I had my '01 expedition with the 5.8L it was supposed to be a daily driver/tow vehicle. Since it was a huge comprimise and not great at either (kinda sucked for both actually) I dumped it. It was a 4wd and was more like an oversized minivan than a truck That kinda irritated me...
SUV's aren't made for guys like me anymore. They are freakin chick cars - NOT even related to being trucks anymore. I think the Excursion was the last of the "real" SUVs
Ok - rant over

Gonna service my rear differential. Just ordered an aluminum cover and I will pick up some Royal Purple 75W140.
I got my tires balanced yesterday. I noticed a little vibration at 75-80 mph while on vacation. Just on certain surfaces, but I had never noticed it before. Balancing was free, so why not? I don't get to cruise at that speed very often, so I won't know if the balance fixed it or not.

Now go buy a seven-pin trailer plug and wire it appropriately. I can provide the "pin-outs" if you need it.
Also, why not take that vise off the bumper? You can't do much with it down there. Since you obviously can weld, get some heavy two-inch square tubing and build a vise mount that uses that new receiver. Get it up where it's useful to you.
