the vise was free and the hole was in the bumper for the vise bolt hold down so that is why it is there. i have a 7 pin on my truck now, but it was attached to the part of the bumper that i cut off so i need to find a new place for it right now it is just hanging down.....and i did use the vise today to grind the paint off the reciver tube, the bumper pulls out 3 feet for a cab over camper so we pulled it out and it made it very esay to work on, the bumper is welded mostly on and is a pain to pull out and put back in not worth it...

I think that flat black really makes the back end look a lot better.

Still didn't get your HV plates? They sure take their own sweet time.

Care to send it my way? 74 F-250 crew cab 4wd if that changes anything.

Oh and Brady - that setup looks good! I do really like the black bumper compared to the silver too.

There are six-pin and seven-pin diagrams on this site:
Trailer Wiring Diagrams

Use the seven-pin one for standardization with all pickup trucks sold in the last ten years or so.

At a minimum, wire the right-turn, left-turn, tail-lights, and ground.

The auxiliary is sometimes used for backup lights.

The +12 volt wire is used to charge a trailer's on-board battery to apply the brakes in case of a break-away. Small trailers without brakes obviously don't use this feature.

The brakes wire is from a trailer brake controller to apply electric brakes (if used).

i need to put a fuel filter before my electric pump, right now there is only one by the carb, and nothing before the pump. and i "run out of gas" a good amount, i run both tanks and that is how i know i need to switch tanks.

Not much done to truck since last year when I did the front bumper cover. I have the parts to fully shave the tailgate but right now money is tight.

Working on making a stealthier Excursion(if there is such a thing) as far as radar and laser encounters on road trips..

IR laser absorbing paint on front reflective surfaces(lights and blue oval)..

New radar detector..

Remote color display mounted in dash for radar detector..

Laser jammers will be installed next.. All in good fun..

CA and UT are two of them.. I travel out to those the most.. That's what makes it fun.. It's not like there's a pair of .50 cals on the front.. Or is there?
