The Pennsylvania winter road salt and cinders don't help too much on keeping our aluminum rims very clean. Next time after you polish or clean your wheels give them a good coating of WD-40. You can go for months of letting them collect dirt, road grime, and brake dust and all you have to do is wipe them off with a towel or rag and they'll look as good as when you cleaned them last. This was an experiment last year on my friends 97 F-250 HD and my 85 F-150 and it worked pretty good so I figured I'd share it.

 

Thanks for the tip. im gonna have to try that. I live in PA too and I can never get my wheels completely clean.
