The Official August GTG Thread, August 30th

OK folks...

The decision has been made..

We are going to be attending the Cure For Kids Car show in Fall River, MA.

It is on August 30, 2009 and would say we meet near there at 10:00am.
(Further details to come).

I know it may be a haul for some, but it is for a good cause..

Let's have more than three people show up for this one..

I'm going to say maybe.
If I don't go to MI that weekend I will try.

Will they laugh at me if I try to register the Geo?

Edit:
Ok. so the Geo would fall under "special interest"?
And how did the PT Cruiser get its own category? Not complaining just scratching my head as to why.

I am sure they don't care what you bring as long as you show up..

You can even hitch a ride if you want..

I hope to be able to make it...however...arrangements for getting my father to/from Joisey during that time frame are still up in the air. I'll keep you posted!!!

A few friends of mine are meeting at a NY Bagel about a half a mile from the show and there will be plenty of parking to cruise into the show together.

How does this idea sound to everyone?

Ok I will poke my head in here and say i will try to make it but I start school the 24th or the 26th not sure. so we will see.

Alec, this is on Sunday so it shouldn't interfere with school...

I'm going to call the phone number posted on the flyer for the show as there wasn't a time posted when the show starts. I will get back to everyone and we can come up with a meeting time as soon as I know when the show starts. It would be good to hang out a few and grab some breakfast at NY Bagel.

They want to meet at 7:45 am at the NY Bagel.

The NY Bagel is only a mile away from the show. Check in for the show is 8am to 11am, however, if you get there early, we should be able to park together. I hope this isn't too early for everyone. I'll have to leave around 7 am as I have about a 45 minute ride.

Not sure if we can make it for 7:45 since it is a 2-3 hr drive for most of us..
