cant comment on mileage because i have a crewcab shortbed. bout 5-700 lbs heavier than u, and im getting 12 if im lucky. u should expect 13-14 maybe? i love the truck u found. all i can say about that is i paid a little more than triple that for mine in 05 with 19k miles. and the 5.4....expect to replace the transmission twice before the engine!!! enjoy and grab that before its gone!!!

Congradulatuions on your purchase.

DO the tarnny fluid and filter now, if it hasnt been done... and fuel filter.

Check the axle and tranfer case also it is time for them to.

MPG will vary as to your weight, and driving habits.

Good luck with it. You got it at a good time, Do the fluids

I have an 02. My current commute is giving me 12.5-12.9mpg. Pulling a boat I got 9.5-10mpg. My average mpg for the last year has been ~10.59 with ~8k miles.

40hp diff between the 2V and 3V 5.4l. Don't think torque changed. The 5.4l should be enough that that truck. Replaceing the stock necked down portion of the Y-pipe with an SPD piece, a good custom tune and a better flowing muffler will help it a lot in the giddyup dept.(I can PM you the info) They are asking $8600 for it you should be able to get them to knock off at least another $1100. If your serious about it get an Oasis report here before you buy it. Overall looks like a decent truck and since its an 04' it will have the updated heads with the extra threads in the spark plug holes.
