Repairing rusted quarter panels
I know this topic has been discussed many times. I looked through dozens of threads here and I think I came up with the answer to my problem but I wanted to be absolutely sure before I start buying parts. Here are my rusted quarter panels on my 1979 F250:
Driver side:
Passenger side:
The driver's side looks like it will go any day now. The passenger side is straight up terrible. From what I've gathered, I can get patch panels to repair these from LMC truck: http://www.lmctruck.com/icatalog/fc/full.aspx?Page=19
My question then is, which do you think I should get? There is part 49-8062, the larger panel, and 49-8056, the smaller panel. Is the damage bad enough that I would need the larger one?
I've read that I can use some sort of adhesive instead of welding. It's a newer thing that has only been around a few years but is much easier than welding. I will probably get 3M or some reputable brand. You cut everything to shape, put the adhesive on, clamp it, and then what? Do you have to apply bondo after? The car will be painted after this is all done so I don't care about a good look as long as it actually lines up smooth.

It looks like National Parts Depot might be my better choice since it's cheaper and closer. They have wheel flare repair panels that are 14" tall and 39" long for $18 each. Although when I add them to my car they say 12x34 dimensions.
Could someone please let me know whether I could use the smaller panel instead of the larger, and the basic steps for completing this job?

If this truck is not a daily driver, then the first thing I would do is remove the paint in the area in question to fully get a good idea of what is really damaged. If you cannot do that, then it might be better to get the larger panel just to be on the safe side. From your pics, there looks to be rust out past where the patch will cover.
