Fuses - as per the owners manual

Brake and signal lights are working on the trailer, but running lights are not. They used to - so i'm thinking it's a fuse on the Expy. Does anyone know what the correct term would be for the fuse that controls the running lights on a travel trailer is for a 2000 Expedition?

I'm looking through the manual and I see:

- trailer tow battery charge
- trailer tow backup/park lamps
- trailer tow stop and right turn lamp
- trailer tow stop and left turn lamp
- trailer tow electric brake
- trailer tow park lamp relay
- trailer tow backup lamp relay
- trailer tow battery charge relay

Would it be the "trailer tow backup/park lamps"?

I went through and visually looked at all the fuses last evening. Only found one bad one - switched it out but the lights still didn't come on. I'm starting to think MAYBE something happened on the trailer end - so i'm going to get one of my friends to bring over their truck to hook up and see what happens. Then I'll know for sure.

But in the meantime, has anyone had/seen this specific problem before?

Got a VOM? check the resistance to ground for the park wires on the trailer side, but check it against the actual ground wire and not the trailer chassis. Sounds to me like the wire in the trailer side of the socket got pinched or broken off. Also, did you check for voltage at the actual truck side connector?

I gotta look at mine also since they have developed a flicker.

So it was a combination of the blown fuse, AND a half disconnected wiring harness on the trailer side. Right now the cable is shorter than it should be and if I go around a tight corner it pulls tight. I guess it pulls TOO tight.

Time to either rewire the trailer or buy an extension for the connector.
