excursion died electrical

aftermaket radio stopped working followed by instrument panel. instruments do come back on for a min or so. about 20 mins later the excursion stopped running. apreciate any suggestion...on the side of the road.

Sounds like when my replacement alt came with the wrong regulator. I was driving off the battery and the components died in that order.

Def alternator, just spent $800 on belt, alt and 2 new batteries. Oww!!

Just to let u know that any time you have an electrical problem in an X thats the shut down sequence. had that problem last year but I just bought the 2 batteries and an alt from pep boys and changed it in the parking lot. just lucky that I made it that far
