So, I was watching the Power Block 2 days ago, and for some reason, I got onto their website, and joined the Power Block club. Then, I decided to go ahead and e-mail them pictures of a real truck. This morning, the editor guy that handles the pictures sent in, sends me an e-mail saying "we might be showing your truck on Power Block." He wants some more pictures, and a picture of me with the truck. I sent him a reply, like 5 minutes ago, and he already sent me another reply. He wants me to call him, so he can tell me what kind of pictures he wants, and to do a brief interview over the phone about the project. I'll make sure that I mention all the support from the guys and gals at of FTE. How many TV folks respond that quickly? I can't imagine they do, concidering all the e-mails they must receive. Courtney Hansen's gonna talk about my truck.....that's cool
Hey that's cool. I watch the powerblock when I'm not busy. I've been watching too much TV lately since having knee surgery. That will be really something to see your big job on the tube. I'll keep an eye out for it.
That sounds great when they pick the date to air it do a post so everybody can watch.
I'm in the same setup as Dennis I've been watching too much TV lately also, I just had surgery on my big toe.
I just got off the phone with the producer John Kurtz. First thing out of his mouth was how very interested he was in the truck, and about the fire truck, and the dump truck being melded together to form this one of a kind Big Job. He asked me to take a few more pictures, including ones of me in the shot with my truck, and wants me to burn him a cd and get it to him ASAP (his exact words were get me that disk as soon as you can). Their filming another round starting July 7th, and he wants my pictures for that shoot. He says it probably won't air until August, but he'll let me know what the air date will be. A TV producer gave me his personal cell number....that's cool. He says he's picking about 30 seconds (not much, but more than I have so far) and will have Courtney introduce it to the world. It's really kind of exciding. He even asked about the Ford Truck Enthusiasts, 1948-2009 Ford F150, Super Duty & SUV owners community and information source. Covers F100, F-150, F250, Bronco, Ranger, Explorer, Expedition, Lighting, Escape and More picture of the fire truck, so I mentioned the forum in the interview.
I was thinking about sending mine in, but there's just not that much to see at this point. Congratulations, good luck, and let us know how/when this all progresses.
Will do. All it's gonna be is photos blown up on the screen, and Courtney narrating, but it's the simple fact that it's gonna happen that makes it all so cool.
Joe,
Thats pretty cool! For sure let us all know the date its going to air.
I'm usually up and out of the house doing chores when Powerblock is on but I record it to watch later.
man now tlak about smooching tail feathers ( not that any of us wouldn't with courtney ! ) . im over there ocassionally myself , but congrats on it and tell her i want her to autograph my truck somewhere !!!!!!!! later and again congrats .... oh by the way which one wm ???????????????
Which one what? Which truck? If that's what you're asking, the only one worth sharing.....1953 Ford Big Job semi, with Caterpillar V-8.....The producer, John Kurtz was very astonished by how stock the truck looks, and by the use of a truck chassis with a Cat V-8 diesel in it.
Disk went out yesterday. John should have it next week, which will give him several days to pick through the photos. 120+ pictures from the LT8000 donor all the way through to the current condition.
