F100 and chassis question

New to the forums, im building a 71 f100, just finished the cab and fixing the box, anyways im going to put it on air with HP and nice wheels. im building a complete chassis or i have a 2000 s10 xtreme rolling chassis sitting here and was thinking on using the fire wall forward, im wondering if its a bad idea, the parts u can get are endless for s-10s and cheaper than others, i know the track width is narrower but i was thinking on running 10" wide wheels all 4 corners for the look i want and i can make up for that narrotrack width... just looking for info not opinions on why u shouldnt use it just because its not a ford produce. iv searched around and havent found what im looking for just a lot of ppl complaining about using other brands under a ford body. anyways help me out, thanks in advance

For a cruiser, sure. It's hot rodding.

Personally, I would go with a frame clip from an 90-95 or so C1500.

Yeah.. I know it'll save bucks since ya already got the S10 but what may seem like a money saving idea isn't. I went junkyarding to day and there were quite a few donors... In fact I am pondering a 454SS for a daily driver.

Why the 90s C1500? Cuz the parts are lo-buck.. lowering spindles and springs and it is there... and more suitable for a 460, 454, 502, 572 or FE under the hood... rather than a teensy weensy 302.
