New to the Expy world

Just bought an 03 expy xlt 5.4 3rd row etc, and have a few questions.
1 where can i find the door code?
2 the passenger doors in back need to be adjusted how do i do so?

We bought the truck with 67k I plan on dumping all the fluids and starting fresh Any hints or things to check on this truck?
thanks

what's up man, saw your oops in the 07+ area and followed ya over here

Door Striker:
Look on the door frame. You should see a small cylinder about the size of a photo canister. On the end of it, there will be a decent sized hex.

Just look at the door and adjust that cylinder in/out as needed to get the door flush. Make sure it's tight afterwards, or it will move on ya

As far as other stuff, I'd change the Fuel Filter, and do Spark Plugs...it's a 5.4 3V right? If so, be careful and follow the F150 plug change TSB.

Btw, not sure if you know or not already, but your Expy rims are swappable with your F150

Its the 2v 5.4 I have an 04 FX4 and know all about that lol and found that out the hard way. I have seen you on the F150 forums alot. I wish this was the 3v motor but oh well we got a good deal on the truck and my wife likes it. I think once I order my new rims for my F150 i will put my rims on her truck... Im gonna add a CAI and a few other things to her truck as soon as i can.

I just went and looked at the doors and i dont see a little canister any where on the door I looked at the strikers and it doesnt even look like they are adjustable. One door wiggles when you shut another door.

Either the door itself or the door frame should have that cylinder. It may not be as big as a photo canister, but that general shape

Can you snap a pic of both? I don't have my Expy back yet to get one for you.
it will be black colored...might even have a thin strip of metal that forms a "square" shape, and the cylinder is 1 edge
Also, it is technically 7 years old now. So some of the weatherstrippng might be old/torn.

That stuff can allow doors to rattle around

Just loosen the torx bolts holding the strike on the door jamb and slide the strike in a 1/4" then retighten the bolts.

He is after the Keypad module...it should have the Factory Preset code on it...Question is, where though?

Most likely on the firewall...doubt it's like the F150. If I remember, I'll dig through my Tech DVD when I get home

I forgot about the golden rule lol that's what happens when your away at work for a few months with no computer.... I ordered new side panels since these were really faded its the only defect on the truck. Also why do some expys sit higher then others.. My wife HATES how low hers sits. I parked next to another expy and it was much higher. Heres a picture of the door i dont see anything like it.

The door code you are looking for is on the door/seat computer behind the glove box. If you open the glove box and push on the sides to get it to open all the way, you can look to the back on the kick panel it will be a 5 digit code on a sticker, you might have to move some wires like I did, but its there.

Sometimes the code is on the driver's side under the dash.

EDIT: I thought I had posted this in here....wonder where I did post this? anyways, here it is

nice looking ride...get those panels replaced like your talking about, and it will look pretty damn good

btw, the Expy ride hieght is like the F-150. 4x2 sits about 1" shorter than the 4x4

you're looking at the wrong side. look at the back edge of the door. the door should have a small slot that has big metal catches...kinda looks like a mouth with teeth....you need the other part that latches inside that slot

here is a picture from my Dodge...not the same, but the same principle.
