Got my Stancor today
My Stancor came in today. If you read Guzzle's write-up he does say that it's HUGE, but I didn't quite realize how huge it actually is. It weights probably 3 pounds or so and here are a few pictures.
Comparison with the soda can.
Sitting in my hand.
I think I have a serious problem and might need to join PowerStroke Addicts Anonymous.

I'm going on your name here when I say this. I believe Excursions use a different part to actuate the glow plugs. I believe they, like the Cali trucks, use a Glowplug Control Module rather than a Glowplug Relay which is what the Stancor is.
Just for the heck of it here's a link to Guzzle's install write-up. You can click the link there and order it through Mouser. That's what I did.

Part from mouser. 802-586-902
Ordered mine through that clicky from Guzzles also. Got it right quick.
I said the same thing. WOW.. That can't be right. That thing is huge.
Stock to Stancor comparison.
Installed in 10 minutes. I did fight with the stock nuts a little bit mounting it. But it eventually goes on.

STUPIDSTUPIDSTUPIDSTUPIDSTUPIDSTUPIDSTUPIDSTUPIDST UPIDSTUPID
I went to install my Stancor today, but stupid me wasn't paying attention to which unit it was that I was supposed to be replacing. I took out the unit that is in front of the GPR and hooked the wires to it. I wasn't paying attention and assumed that was what I wanted since it was where the GPR LED's wires went. Then I looked at it and realized it was the wrong one to replace.
But stupid me had stripped the threads on the stancor. So I had to cut the old wire off and get another nut to jam on top of the old one because I couldn't get it off. Then I went to reinstall the part I shouldn't have removed. Except stupid me torqued down the nut on one of the studs too hard and shattered the casing on that.
So now instead of just replacing the GPR I have to replace both units there.
Only problem is I don't know what the heck it is that I broke? Can someone help me out here?

Alot of folks just delete it anyway.(heater unit as well)
Riffraff has a nice delete plug (with boost port)
No harm,no foul.
