Post How to tell a c4 from an FMX?

I was wondering if there was an easy way to tell the diff between an fmx and a C4.I counted 11 bolts on the tranny pan which leads me to believe its a C4.How many bolts in an fmx pan?Any other quick ways to tell? Its in a 73 Torino with a 302 2bbl if that makes any difference. Thanks

I don't remember the number of pan bolts but the obvious differnce should be (FMX) cast iron case vs (C4) Aluminum case.

David is correct. The FMX has a cast iron case with an aluminum bell housing and tailshaft.
