My 79 F150 Progress Pic

Alright, I know it's not much for progress but this is my first hot rod project since I quit drag racing in 2005. I just brought my "spare" drag engine home that I had sitting in the neighbor's garage.

Next step is to get it stripped down to the barre block, take it down to my builder for a good cleaning, and have it checked for cracks. If it checks out ok it'll be bored, line honed, decked, and stuffed full of the biggest forged CI rotating assembly I can get for it.

It's a 1972 351W. I'm planning on building a 425 incher.

I'm still undecided on what heads to run. I loved the set of Twisted Wedge heads I ran on my 302 based engines, but am thinking of staying with something with inline valves this time.

I recommend Twisted Wedge or AFR, both are really good for custom builds that need higher flow, or even a set of World Ind. Man 'O War heads, a little more but well worth it
