Need to replace the rear tube bumper, does anyone know of any sources other than Ford? Maybe a chrome one? How about any places that handle good used lightning parts? Any help is appreciated.

Its a 1993 Lightning, color is not important, must be in good condition, nothing bent or dented.

Did all the first gen lightnings have tube bumpers? I thought some had factory rollpans.

The tube bumber was an option as well as the sliding rear window and center seat.

I just recently got one from ford throught my insurance.
The cost was $800.00

All that was miising from the old one was an black end cap.

Ford did not sell them so they had to buy me a new bumper.
What a waste !

 

smittybiltinc.com they made these bumpers for Ford. Give it a try. I contacted them looking for end caps for this bumper. I got 4 end caps for $9.89. Let me know if this helps.

 

Thanks for the tip. I checked with them and they do have the tube bumper to fit my 93 lightning. It comes in black or is available in chrome. Once again, thanks for the tip.

why dont u custom make a tube bumper out of stainless steel. i did it on mine and it looks good. plus u dont have to worry about it rustin out or chiping
