eliminate SES when ebpv unplugged

Does someone have a cure besides yanking the bulb so that my SES light does not come on when EBPV is unplugged at the pedistal? I have read it should only be a soft code and not light up the SES but apparently not on mine.

my rig: 2000 f-250 4x4 auto, 4"mbrp, hpx, isspro gauges, 6670

On Ex and Cali trucks, the PCM is more sensitive. I removed the air box temp sensor and it lit up the SES light.

Click on Other/New Products
Click on EBV Eliminator (2nd one not the first one)

That is what you need.

you better check for codes..the light should not not come on if you un pluged the right wire...there could be something else going on..

maybe the 6670 you are running is tripping the light....J/K..sorry

All you need is a 1/2 watt 470 ohm resistor between the two wires on the EBPV plug. Easy sleazy.

I think he has a Republik of Kalifornia truck. When my EBPV was leaking, some have simply removed the air temp sensor to stop it from triggering. Well, my truck threw a hissy fit.

Thanks Chase, will try the resistor first. If not then perhaps I'll just have to move to Kalifornia as apparently that will also fix it (J/K).
