Lifter Tapping or Stuck Valve?
1999 ford F150 <O:p</O:p
V6 4.2<O:p</O:p
26,000 orig miles<O:p</O:p

Truck has been sitting for a couple years and has been started once a month with no issues until recently. Tried starting truck and it sputtered and then a tapping sound started on passenger side. I think it is a stuck lifter or valve I really could use some help.

Here is what I have done so far,

1) I pulled the plugs and all were good but the middle plug on the passenger side (a little fouled/ Black color), replaced all 6 with new plugs.

2) checked spark, all were good.

3) did a compression test on middle cylinder on passenger side and had 150psi (not sure if that is normal).

3) Cleaned mass air sensor, new plugs, air filter, and fuel filter.

4) Put 3/4 qt marvel mystery oil in crankcase
(Hoping to free a stuck lifter)

Thank you for your help<O:p</O:p
