Looking for carburetor info

I removed the carb from my 56 F600 272 V8 and was looking for info about it.
It seems quite large ( almost twice the size ) compared to the 2v carbs on my F100 trucks, with the same size engine.
Is there a particular name/nickname for these? Do they serve a different function than normal? Just curious.

That would be known as Teapot carb. Here is a photo of mine from 56 but mine is a 4V though. Yours I think would be known by Holley as a Holley 2000 series being a 2V, mine is a Holley 4000 series.
