I recently purchased a 1996 F250 XLT 4x4 w/ 460 MHI motor. The 'Check Engine' light comes on after a few minutes and stays on. The motor runs smooth, has decent power, doesn't burn oil, or leak a drop of anything. I get about 10 mpg.

Any idea why I can't get ANY codes? Or what I should check?

I don't have a scan tool personally, they were trying to read them at a transmission shop and not having any luck. Dean (owner) said he'd never had any problems with other vehicles.
