Kingpin bushing installation..

I'm pressing in my new kingpin bushings into the spindles and need to know where to stop... Does the bushing seat flush where the spindle meets the axle? ... or do I leave room for the small ring that came with the kit that fits over the pin and (I'm guessing) inside the spindle?

The ( RETAINING BOLT///PIN ) will determine how deep it seats! There is a slot in the King Pin that the retaining bolt locks it in!

Well they really don't seat, more like locating the King Pin height.

Thanks... that's the pin, but I'm talking about the bushings themselves.

I just looked at a set of bushings pressed in, and they were pressed in flush , at first I

would have thought the same thing as you , but I would think that if they where not you

may not have enough ( THREADS ) for the upper and lower caps!

Thanks, I appreciate you looking! I'll push 'em flush. Right now, I've stopped just before flush on one and I see what you're saying about the threads.

Do the holes for the grease line up? That determines the depth.

These are 74 disc spindles going on a 66 I-beam. They are greased from the top/bottom rather than the side.
