They no longer put the washer in the kit so it can all be braded together. I talked with my Ford rep. about this 4 years ago and he said they would get it resolved and they never have.
When purchasing a kit, ask if it is a 4 piece kit or a 6 piece kit. There should be 6 pieces.
What do you mean by brading together?

I have a 72 Ford Bronco. After replacing the shift color 2 times(the damn things are pot metal and crack easily) I put in a Hurst floor shift kit!

Different issue

My 67 is very sloppy going from 2&3. Back into r&1. It does fine going from 1 to 2nd. But getting it back into r&1. Is an an act of Congress. It's not hard, it's just a "gotta hold your mouth right" type thing to find the thru gate. Any ideas?

Welcome to FTE and The Bumpside Kingdom.
Take your steering wheel off and check the shift collar for cracks. If so you can order one from www.dennis-carpenter .
