Bed replacement.

Will the bed from a 1977 F150 regular cab long bed work as a replacement for a 1978 F150 supercab long bed with out any issues?

Thanks,
Mike...

(And yes, I will get some better pics of my truck up. Having issues with file size.)

A long bed to replace another long bed, it should just bolt right into place without any problems.

While many parts are the same from year to year I just don't want to find out after the fact that the bolt position or some other important detail has changed and it doesn't fit!

Yes it should bolt right up. The only real differences between beds is the 73 to early 77 F250's (highboys) and the 77.5-79 F250's. The highboys frame has a little narrower rear, so the bed mounting holes are narrower then the latter 250's

There is a difference between just getting it done and doing it right.

I rather buy the right part and have it work as designed than buy something that sorta fits and make it work.

Otherwise, yes, I have a ever growing collection of tools and toys (bound to grow as I play with this new gas gulping toy!) and I figured that in this case, I would try to do it right for a change.

I know.. call me crazy! heh

You're crazy.

Wait... that must mean I'm crazy too. I've got the same addiction, it's called F250.
