When you remove the wheel, is it obvious that there is a problem with the clockspring?
I ask because I have the 51 code but do not want to change the thermal fuse until I solve the underlying problem....
On mine, no. Just a flashing 32/no horn/no cruise. You might be able to ohm out the wires with a meter to test the individual leads.
If you can master the advanced search feature, look for threads by subford concerning 51 & thermal fuse. He wrote quite a lot on troubleshooting it.
Thanks for the tips...Scndsin, I will check out what subford went through. I did some searching on it awhile back but have long since forgotten most of what I've found.
