What about one that runs on cats? Like maybe one o' them yellow CAT engines? They run on cats, right? I think my SD has Cats. I'm allergic to cats too...

you must be assuming that ive never driven a v10 before. ive towed the same trailers with a v10 and my 7.3 and i also drove a 2v and a 3v v10 for about 6 months as my company work truck. and since theres not a v10 in my garage, i think that shows which one i liked better. like i said, its a good engine, its just not for me. and thats based on my experience driving them. id much rather have a v10 than my 5.4, but id take my 7.3 over either of them.

 

phillips91 u r wrong between on the hp and tq numbers of th v-10 and 7.3. the 7.3 dsl had less hp then the v-10. both the older and the new version. if my memory serv me right im thinking 7.3 was rated around 250 hp or there some where. the older v-10 was was rated at first at 275 hp (99) then a yr or two later 325 hp. 05 on up rated 357 hp. even the 6.4 has less hp than current v-10. if u dont beleive me look at the spec sheets. now u b confusing hp and tq. yes u right that 7.3 had more tq. (bout the same 05s v-10 up). just a clarefacation. this has been a problem wif u dsl owners. u think the dsl has more hp than the v-10 it isnt so, it never has been. yes the dsl has more tq by wide margine.
