I am helping out a guy research the best programmer for the 97 7.3. Auto, 2wd dually. Needs economy, tow and performance. Something that has the best of both worlds, not too much $ and maybe shift on the fly.
Any help would be appreciated.
I have some ideas but don't have one of these trucks.

I think Jody at DP-TUNER can tune that year. Does he have some of the supporting mods done yet? I would look in the forum below us and see what they are using.

 

No supporting mods yet. Just muff delete. Can he remove the cat safely? I customized my page so I couldn't find the other thread.
He is just 18, so safer the better.

 

From what I understand Texas is not doing emissions testing, so I think most with cats are taking them off. He could keep it handy for incase they start testing. Just like with our trucks, DP Tuner or TW are the top 2 dogs.
