i have a 2003 Escape that came with no owner's manual. The power steering fluid is low. I am wondering what type of power steering fluid would it take. i just want to make sure for when i drive down to the local parts house tomorrow.

The manual calls for MERCON ATF, which chances are, you won't be able to find. Most here will tell you to just use a name brand ATF that meets MERCON V standards & you should be fine.
