I have ordered a 6" Skyjacker w/ springs front and rear for my 1978 3/4 ton Supercab. The cost for the springs and hardware was just over $1,000 on jegs.com. It cost a few hundred more for pitman, drag link, and brake lines. I will be installing next week and have a few questions. Has anybody had pinion angle issues? Are angled axle pad shims recomended? I also believe the front driveline may need to be lengthened. Any input would help. Thanks

Hey 75350,
By using the front shackle on the rear are you able to keep the factory towing rating? the reason I ask is that looks like a great idea but I tow and haul 10,000 plus a lot. I would like to do that to my truck but need to keep the tow/haul rating up. I had no idea about the superduty springs either I am definately going to look into that.

Ok I found A guy locally who can get me a new set of 6 inch skyjacker front springs for $325 and he thinks if I do the sky manufacturing shackle flip it will sit level. What do you guys think? I know I'll still have deal with steering but I want to get the ride height right first. Thanks again.

Welcome to FTE, boy you dug a old thread, that's ok. Looks like your truck is a F150 1/2 ton with coil springs and radius arms for the front suspension. The trucks in the above thread are F250 with leaf spring front suspension, just so you know.
We need to at least know your tire size, I guess 33's or 35's? And I spy a little day light and a body lift block in the passenger side front cab mount. So that is probably a 3" body lift? And looks like you have a snow plow q/d set up on the front. If you are not going to be plowing, ditch that extra weight ASAP.
If you have 31's then looks like no lift, but a 3" body, if you have 33's still the 3" body lift and maybe a 2.5 suspension lift?
35's... still the body lift and maybe a 3" suspension lift? Go look at the rear axle, do you have 1 block between the leaf spring and the axle or 2 stacked together.
FYI if you have one with a "wing" sticking out (for you bump stop to hit) that is a factory block that all old Ford trucks have.
