Lightbulb Rhino or Line X Rocker Panels????

Hey Guys,
Have any of you ever put rhino linings or Line X on your rocker panels. I saw the thread about doing the stainless kits but need something a little more durable. I am on jobsites most of the time and the truck gets worked and I do not believe that the stainless panels applied with 3M tape would hold up. I was wondering if anyone had some pics or advice?

Well I dont know how durable the stainless ones are I think they are more for looks. I never seen anything by rhino or linex rocker panels. Is it just like the bed liners? If so I wouldnt put that on my truck. I think it would ruin it.

Different context, but doing a spray-in bedliner to the rocker panels is a pretty regular thing in the four-wheeling community. As with bed-applications, the key is preparation. Another thing to keep in mind is that while most shops offer lifetime warranties on spray-in bedliners, many do not offer the same warranty for rocker panels & interiors that get sprayed.

If prepared well, the rocker panels would hold up quite well. The only rocker panel applications that I have seen get destroyed or damaged were due to something beyond incidental/accidental encounter(s) with rocks.

Hope that helps.

well i am always in contact with gravel roads and such and the little rocks are starting to scuff up the rocker panels. I would rather do a rhino or line x application to the area. They do color match so that would be cool and I could have it cleared too. I know that it is used in the off-roading community and was wondering if anyone had any pics of it on one of our trucks. I just want to protect my truck as much as possible.

As far as their application it is the same as the bed liner....there is no product made by them that is bolt on or stick on for rocker panel protection.

I'll post a pic in a few. I think Linex is the way to go since it is most fade resistant.

That is freaking awesome!!! I'd like to get the rocker's done as well. But didn't know how much it would run me. I'd like to get the color matched stuff but I figured eventually it would fade so I may go with black.

I would go with LineX. I saw an s10 several years ago that the owner had done it to on the lower doors and rockers, basically up to the first seam on the older s10s, and it looked pretty good. If they could do it in the silver color of Ford's 2 tone paint, that would look cool.

I did mine myself. And I know what your thinking...The old cheap spray bomb bedliner. No I actually use a product called DURABAK COATINGS. Its fairly reasonable, and is easy to use. I have used it on all my rockers, some floors, and the entry door sill's of my trucks. They offer it in textured, or smooth finish, and it was primarily made as a concrete coating; But with the way the product adheres, guys are using it on everything. The best reason I use it over anything else is because it comes in one container with no accelerator. Which means a can can last you as long as you want with no mixing and throwing half of it away. It also adheres to itself like Rhino & Linex, so you can touch it up whenever you need to. I am going to try my hand at posting their link at the bottom, but if it doesen't work just google DURABAK. Check 'em out, they offer a variety of colors.http://www.nonslipcoating.com/

Alright, as computer illiterate I am, I screwed that up. Can someone please tell me how to attach an email link to a reply, so when you click on it, it takes you right to the website listed. Thank you...
