Rhino or Line X Rocker Panels????
Hey Guys,
Have any of you ever put rhino linings or Line X on your rocker panels. I saw the thread about doing the stainless kits but need something a little more durable. I am on jobsites most of the time and the truck gets worked and I do not believe that the stainless panels applied with 3M tape would hold up. I was wondering if anyone had some pics or advice?

Different context, but doing a spray-in bedliner to the rocker panels is a pretty regular thing in the four-wheeling community. As with bed-applications, the key is preparation. Another thing to keep in mind is that while most shops offer lifetime warranties on spray-in bedliners, many do not offer the same warranty for rocker panels & interiors that get sprayed.
If prepared well, the rocker panels would hold up quite well. The only rocker panel applications that I have seen get destroyed or damaged were due to something beyond incidental/accidental encounter(s) with rocks.
Hope that helps.

well i am always in contact with gravel roads and such and the little rocks are starting to scuff up the rocker panels. I would rather do a rhino or line x application to the area. They do color match so that would be cool and I could have it cleared too. I know that it is used in the off-roading community and was wondering if anyone had any pics of it on one of our trucks. I just want to protect my truck as much as possible.
As far as their application it is the same as the bed liner....there is no product made by them that is bolt on or stick on for rocker panel protection.

I did mine myself. And I know what your thinking...The old cheap spray bomb bedliner. No I actually use a product called DURABAK COATINGS. Its fairly reasonable, and is easy to use. I have used it on all my rockers, some floors, and the entry door sill's of my trucks. They offer it in textured, or smooth finish, and it was primarily made as a concrete coating; But with the way the product adheres, guys are using it on everything. The best reason I use it over anything else is because it comes in one container with no accelerator. Which means a can can last you as long as you want with no mixing and throwing half of it away. It also adheres to itself like Rhino & Linex, so you can touch it up whenever you need to. I am going to try my hand at posting their link at the bottom, but if it doesen't work just google DURABAK. Check 'em out, they offer a variety of colors.http://www.nonslipcoating.com/
