I'm looking for a color picture of the original upholstery for my 1955 F-100 Custom Cab. I have a sales brochure that describes it as "woven plastic upholstery in either red or green herringbone pattern, harmonizing with body color chosen, has smooth grey vinyl facing and pleated bolster." Unfortunately, the picture provided is black and white.
Any ideas on where I can find a picture in color?
Next question, where can I find that kind of material?

Truxx1956 is our upholstery and trim guru. I don't know if you have to waith until you get so many posts to PM him or not. If so maybe he will see your post. It is likely the number dummy will be able to come up with a picture for you.

Hey dude, I got an original brochure IF I can find it and get it scanned in for ya. As far as locating the original material, it depends on your wallet. If you want "close enough" or exact stuff. I'm not sure if they repro it or not, but we do have some stuff thats pretty darn close to the original. There was a cat in GA who had a wharehouse of original materials from various makers over the years, but he was very high on it.

I believe Mid Fifty Ford has repro's of original material, if rather pricey..

 

If you look in my Gallery Photos there is a pic of the woven vinyl material in my Standard Cab 1955. Believe the Custom Cab was the same. It is a light Green color.
The only place I could find it was a guy in Oregon who had several rolls of it. Mid-Fifty's is not the same as original.
