I went to visit my wife at work. She works at the local hospital, so I found a spot in the parking garage close to the hospital. I went up and had lunch with her and came back out to this.....







Between rust repair, previous body damage and installing the toolbox, I have about 60 hours of body work in this side of the bed. I'm so mad I can't see straight. I don't care about the money, I'm gonna take 60 hours of labor out of someone's butt!!

For the record, I already fixed my exhaust by the time I took these pictures. It was folded forward and the hanger was broken.

 

Man that sucks. I'd maybe go back to the parking garage tomorrow and drive around to see if there are any potential vehicles that caused that. I know it might be a long shot, but sometimes people park in the same garages everyday. I'd also check with the body shops and let them know about the incident and let them know if anything suspicious comes in. You may never find the person, but you never know. It can be a small world. I can't stand people like that. Sorry to hear about the truck.

 

Did you report the "accident" to the police?

 

You should talk to the hospital maybe they have video cameras in the garage. If your wife works there too she might be able to talk to someone and see if they have security cameras up. That would be prefect. Sorry to hear about that. Some people just dont care. Good luck.

 

There was a blue mini van next to me when I came out. It was about 18" away from my truck and parked straight in the parking space. I didn't think anything about it at the time. I didn't notice the damage until I got home. I'm going back tomorrow and talk to security and see if they know anything. It's not my usual routine to check my whole truck for new damage before I start it. Although it will be now.

 

That sucks man! Just seeing it makes me mad for you. Some people..... Hope you find the perp.

 

I'd walk that same parking garage around the same time when I was there last looking for a vehical with primer rubbed on it. I'd say a left front bumper is what did it.

I had mine in half way in the body shop today. Its windy as all heck today.

One of the big 1500lb barn doors decided to jump out of its open locked posistion and SLAM into the drivers door on my 78. I have a huge dent, the door doesnt open from the outside and although its mostly bondo and rattle can. it WAS straight.

Sucks is it was at the shop Im co-renter of so yeah...i gotta pay for it. AND I have to be pit crew at a drift event tomorrow so I cant through the sticker on like I was gonna.

I feel your pain. I really do. Hope you can find out who did it.

P.S. I work at a hospital and our cameras store the video digitally for 30 days . If you can give them a good time frame I'll bet they can find something .

Hang in there brother and I would go ask the hospital about the video, if you parked in a spot caught by the camera, then go track down the jerk.

 

Know what I just remembered too. Ive got one on a bed that im not gonna use if your interested let me know you could just have it if we can work out shipping. Im in Wheatland Wy. Its in way good shape and the insides are there too. Its a 79 not sure if that matters or not heres a picture of it.
