I was wondering how hard it would be to put a supercharged 5.4 from a lightning into a supercab 150. I have wrecked my engine in my 150 and have access to a lightning motor. thanks

 

Things to think about; you will have to have a tuner create a new program for your PCM, you will have to do some minor wiring modifying, a intercooler will have to be integrated in, the fuel pump will have to be changed to a dual system, and I doubt your stock 4R70W will hold up long to new power plant.
With all that said it can and has been done but alot other mods have to be done to complete the project.

 

I dont know why not, people are putting superchargers on there stock 5.4l engines all the time without issue. I think a properly maintained 4r70w will have no issues with the extra power.
